165m Above Ground!

I believe most of us will not visit Singapore Flyer on no occasion. Thanks to McDonalds we went at an affordable rate. The last time we went was 2 yrs ago (Free Tickets too) and we believe Gibson can hardly recall he went up the wheel. The view changed pretty much with the completed Marina Bay Sand and Gibson identify The Artscience Museum as "The so big broken egg". lol.... It took me awhile when he exclaimed " Mummy! Mummy See there so big broken egg!" The flight experience was ok. My only advise is NEVER plan to dine at Singapore Flyer. No decent restaurant there, the only decent chinese restaurant told us no table only after she ask how many pax we have. Obviously they are reserving their table for bigger groups? Sucks. Oh you can go for the fast food restaurant though... but its forever crowded.

Globalkids Graduation Ceremony

It is year end again. Like most schools year ends are the busiest season for preparing exams etc and, of course GRADUATION CEREMONIES! There are still 3 more years for Gibson to graduate from Kindergarten. Though so, Nursery 1 students get to perform too! I was so excited that I couldn't sleep that night wahahaha. The preparation was kept minimal to the parents (except that we are the sponsors), I have no idea how Gibson was going to be dressed or where he gonna be postioned. Luckily, Gibson loves to show me what he learnt in school so I got a glimspe at his dances.

We are not allowed to go to the backstage to say Hi, and not even allowed to shout names when they are performing. School claims that will create unnessecary anxiety in them. I am so touched and happy to see my son performing on stage. At the same time I was so impressed by the K2 kids! Their performance was outstanding! It is something like a stage play! Well done! If I am the parent I will be so so so proud of them. I cannot even dance or perform properly on stage when I was their age needless to say ACT!

I probably will cry the day Gibson graduates from Kindergarten....

I edited the dvd (we bought), trimmed to scene with Gibson. Here you go....

PS: There are photos (also need to pay) of Gibson in his costume and group photos. I'll post them after I scan them. :)

Recent Snaps

Been real busy these days... I'm officially back to a FTWM now. It did not came as a surprise offer to me but the decision to join them was sudden (I'm almost left with no choice). Hee... Why is that so? Hint: during the day, hubby is my immediate superior. Got it?

Well, Gibson has grown alot these months. He is now able speak more fluently and has become more independent. He goes toilet on his own now at home (without even need to call out to me). When I say goes toilet I mean both big and small business. :)

Healthy dinner

I decided to go healthy today since we had kong ba for yesterday's dinner. So I used only steam and boil method to dish up our dinner!

It turns out pretty good! All wiped out! Plus, it's easy, fast and hassle (oily hassles) free!

Looks boring here but they are pretty tasty wor. I'm a born chef. Wahaha

Steam egg (chawanmushi style) with mushrooms & crab sticks

Steam meat cake (I steam it with rice cooker while cooking rice, save time!)

Blanch bak choy with mushroom and oyster sauce.

Cabbage and tofu soup. Light but tasty as I used ikan bilis broth. Ikan bilis is the fastest broth to cook! Not ayam brand stock cubes of course! For 2-3 pax just need a handful of ikan bilis, boil with ~2l of water for 30mins! Tt easy!

Happy Anniversary!

Dang dang dang dang! 4yrs pass in a flash! Or I more appropriately 5yrs (legally).

I wanted to write our love story! But is just not right to create a wordy post with my iPhone.

Yes, my pc is not usable now, the monitor broke down without notice!!! It just decided to stop working! Argh anyway I manage to find a super super old monitor to use temporaily. Ok, I thought since this pc is rather old too I might just use a lousy monitor now till it breakdown and I can buy a new iMac! So saving the pennies now. Lol

I have many outdated photos waiting for me to post and they are all in the pc! Ok I shall find one day to make way on my desk for the HUGE ASS monitor. :p

All ready waiting for daddy to fetch us for a nice dinner (which was so disappointing in the end)

Interesting names they have on the menu, they are pizzas! We ordered a Raikkonen that never came. ):

Having wine while waiting for our food. That all never camd except Gibson's.

Mummy disturbing Gibson

Cheeky Gibson makes mr forgot how pissed I was with the restuarant service.

Daddy and Gibson

Took this at T3. Went for a 'cheer up' walk at T3. It certainly helps. Lol I steamed ba zhang for supper! It was so much better!!!

Gibson is 3!

We brought him to Night Safari on his birthday. I was deciding between the Flyers or Night Safari and of course Night Safari since Gibson loves animals! He calls it the jungle. It is a weekday night but to our surprise is it packed with tourist! The weather is not to our favour that night, air is still and warm and humid... Did not take many photos as it is almost pitch black in there and no flash photography. PLUS the so call nocturnal animals are sleeping, so nothing much to take.

Taking a family pic before heading in!

Daddy getting our admission tickets with tram ride!

Yeah we are going to the zoo zoo zoo!

Dinner before the adventure! This restaurant operates like a foodcourt. Food is SO pricey!
I enjoyed the Masala Iced Tea and Indian Curry Rice though. :) And the concept of the restuarant is pretty interesting.

Gibson enjoying the Animal Show.

As usual we hit shops after the adventure!

We got him a little gift!

Weird product I saw on the shelf... eekks

Final photo before we head back to our palace!

Since his birthday was spent in Night Safari, we had his cake cutting on the next day. :) Erm... I tried my best to bake a nice cake for him but it turns out pretty BAD! haha I really mean BAD! I find myself really bad at baking! Maybe I should forget about baking totally. I tried baking a pandan chiffon cake with pre mix... also FAILED! Even premixes fail can! tsk tsk... Although it could be because I did not use the specified oil but I'm always disappointed with my bakes. duh.

The always cheeky birthday boy.
So happy that it is his birthday. He loves birthday so much that he told Daddy everyday is his birthday!
Clap with we sang Happy Birthday to him.

Blow!
Us in the most natural look!
Trying hard to cut a piece of cake for himself

The most distasteful cake!!! *nauseating*

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BABY!!!
DADDY & MOMMY LOVES YOU MAX!

Labour Day

Ok I know I know this post is slow. Better to be slow then nothing right?

Labour Day, same every year, we will spent with Hubby's company. This year they went for BBQ at Changi Beach. And you know what? I have not visited Changi Beach before! (well at least not within my recollection)

Gibson definitely enjoyed himself as he loves beach! He loves to bug for a beach outing, so although he just recovered from his fever we brought him there. We brought back with us a nice tan! (erm and some burnt hee)

Gibson trying out the frisbee...
Trying real hard

And this is the FURTHEST he can throw!

He still prefers beach play.

No No No. They are not fighting! No police please. Lol
Hubby's workers enjoying some game... can't figure out how their game goes but it reminds me of our 'Ham Dam Bola'!

Hubby displaying all the lucky draw prizes! (psst there are more hiding this pile!) Everybody get away with something! And guess what is consolation prize that most will get away with!

 TADAH!
Consolation Prize!
Not the whole carton of course! A small box of 12 or 18?

After all the fun, I'm still rather disappointed. Singapore beaches never fail to disappoint me.. ):

Look at the nice ferry terminal...

Peaceful and quiet beach. (Have you spot the ugliest??)

Carefree fishing. (with Gibson and Hubby's colleague playing with the sand)

Now this is what the UGLIEST that you should have spotted! Totally spoil everything.
What ever rubbish you name it they have it! How WONDERFUL!
